Hello everyone.
I apologize for my absence, but I have felt pretty crappy all weekend and Chad and I have pretty much been just watching movies.
I have talked with Victoria for about 2 hours total this weekend...and barely much more for this week. And it certainly didn't help that last week was one of the worst at work. I am sure hoping that something will improve before my job makes me go insane.
I have a lot of stuff to talk about plans, but they involve both Victoria and I so I will be mentioning all of that here when I have the time and energy to write all of it.
Chad and I took our walk early Friday morning. For our adventure, click here. Everything I would say is about what he would say so I will save myself some time and let you open that in a new window to catch up on that.
I went skating Friday night at the request of two friends. One thing that really pissed me off about the night was that I noticed a couple of "kids" talking on cell phones on the skating surface. I have a couple of problems like this:
Friday nights are normally very crowded at the rink anyway, but there were double the normal amount, or so it seemed. There were a hundred or so little kids who tend to get in the way. In order to move, you really need to pay attention, and a cell phone is not conducive to a long attention span.
I have been almost hit two times by drivers on cell phones. One guy was in a huge, black SUV and had his headlights off. He was crossing my road on an unlit alleyway. He went through the stop sign that he had. I was on the main road so I had the right of way so they had a stop sign there. He went through it and there were no lights there so I caught the sight of the SUV just in time. I was able to see a guy holding a glowing cell phone to his ear.
And the other one was when I was at an intersection and had a greenlight to make a left-hand turn. The opposing light had just turned red. A woman in a cream colored SUV (Yes, I hate SUVs. Because of these two events and my old car was totalled by an SUV!), went through the red light but screeched to a halt halfway through the intersection. She then sat there indecisive as to whether she should continue through or to back up. I went around her as she tried to back out of the intersection. It was no surprise to see her talking on a cell phone.
So now these kids are talking on cell phones while skating. WHy do these kids need cell phones? Are 12 and 13 year old children that important? Do they have urgent matters that can't wait? Sure, maybe they could have one in case they get into some trouble somewhere somehow, but while skating on the skating surface?
And then I have to wonder what was so important that they couldn't wait until after skating or atleast get off the skating surface, hang up, put the phone down, and then skate again. oh god. Being the King of Common Sense is difficult hah
Well that is pretty much it. I tried to do more on the script, but I ran into troubles and had to take a break from it for now. I didn't get to work on my design site either. Just not in the mood for anything like that.
I will be back asap.
Goodnight
