So many bits and pieces to say. I swear. So many nights that I could have and perhaps should have updated but something came up. So I will try to rehash it while I work on my latest program (which draws very near completiong)!
Work has been going decently lately. My boss seems to be pretty happy with my performance atleast as far as I can tell. Despite the rough week she had the other week she still remained fairly amicable when we talked which is always a good thing. We are hearing rumors again of how many vendor rep companies will be eliminated. Although it sounds that when/if they do remove some companies from The Home Depot the companies that will remain will take over the vacated departments and will therefore need to hire people. I am in pretty good with the new Division Manager of one of the companies that it seems is destined to stay in place so hopefully I am covered as I am not sure what I can do around here to make what I make now...not that it's a ton of money. But I am not sure where I could make what I make currently.
Well we finally got to go to a carnival this year as Jenn wanted to go last year but it didn't work out. We went on Tuesday with Chad. We played a couple games and then ate carnival food and drank some beer while listening to a pretty decent cover band. They wouldn't have an original band play...maybe next year we can sway them to have us play original stuff haha Chad got weird on the beer and I made a few funny short videos of him singing along (horribly ahahaha) to the songs.
We went back on Saturday when they said that they'd have the all-you-can-ride-for-one-price wristbands but then it turned out that they didn't have them after all. I know how badly she wanted to go on rides but she didn't want to go without me..but it breaks down like this: it costs 3-4 tickets per ride. It's $1 per ticket. That would have made the good rides cost $4 a piece for each one for a total of $8 for each ride we go on. I promised to take her to Dorney Park ASAP where we can actually get on as many rides as we can for one price. And I haven't been there in quite some time and within the next month the weather should be awesome and more comfortable to be out in it all day. I am excited for that!
But we did play fun games and spent way too much on the stuffed animals that we got but we did win cute ones that I haven't seen anywhere else..ever. I got a cute stuffed pig with about $30 from darts haha but we felt like throwing darts and the pig was a bonus. Jenn got a cute cobalt blue hippo which is cuddly and I repeat...cute. haha And I gave the kids running the Hermit Crab game $2 for 12 balls to get a ball into a bowl to win a Hermit Crab. She got one in on the 12th bowl! So now we have a Hermit Crab! I was going to play for one as well but this one seems to be enough extra work hehe
It was fun! And I hope that the one that has been in the fields next to the development where I used to live is there again this year. Maybe I will have the time to recoop some of the money haha
Well we probably won't get as much help with getting another car as we thought we would but I/we're very thankful for any and all help we can get. We just have to see what we can do for ourselves but it's becoming more apparent by the day that we need a new one SOON. But we will see how it plays out and what our options are.
I am thinking of pulling in another job. I hope that it won't interefere with too much other stuff and cause more troubles with schedules. My $400/week just isn't enough with rent, electricity, cable, car insurance..etc..and then I have to find the money to do debt consolidation or something to get atleast out of danger with my credit problems.
I'm just not entire sure with making even $8/hour at a second job I could work another 10 hours per week which would probably have me working 7 days per week (or close enough to it) and making only another $80 BEFORE taxes. But I guess as long as it doesn't actually seem like WORK and doesn't exhaust me or screw with my schedule too much I could do it. Hopefully atleast long enough that I can take care of paying for a newer car that actually runs. But we'll see. I am going to look into the brand new center of stores they're finishing up two blocks down the street. Atleast it wouldn't add commute time and I could walk so I wouldn't have to use extra gas to make the extra money. Again, we'll see how it goes.
Well that's about it for now. I should finish up what I am doing and get to bed.
Here's to a happy Tuesday!
