Well a lot had happened last week. The weekend was pretty decent but then I had left my car in the Lansdale train station parking lot and then when I went to get it on Monday morning to go to work, I found it with four flat tires. Someone punctured them with a razor blade...maybe with a boxcutter or something like that. I tried to take care of it myself somehow despite the torrential downpours all day. I called my boss to tell her what had happened and in the least I would be late for work. Well it was a bad day for everyone. Her mother went into the hospital on Friday and I know that was causing her stress. Joe was out due to a back strain of some sort, another rep was also out with four slashed tires (will get to this in a second) and another one was out but I am not sure why. That's more than half of the reps in our division that were out. But none of them could be controlled..we all just had to work to make up those hours.
As for the other rep and her tires...we are in completely different towns and really don't know eachother. But somehow we both had all four tires punctured the same weekend. But I am not sure how it was done to hers and I am pretty sure that she has atleast a couple of people that might knowingly have done it to her. As best as we can tell mine was caused by some of the teenagers that just roam the town at night looking to cause some trouble (IE: read back a few years ago when i was picked up by police because I was wearing something similar to what a kid was wearing when they threw rocks through car windows).
So Chad came over after work on Monday to try to help me get my tires patched until I could afford a new set. But the punctures are on the sidewalls and cannot be patched. So I had the usual garage tow my car (and trust me there's a lot to this that I am leaving out just to make sure that I actually have time to finish this post as I've missed quite a few updates recently because the entries were too long and never finished because I had the chance to write shorter updates before then) and I am waiting to hear how much my car will cost me.
Chad has been staying here this week and will for most of this week it looks. He'd drop me off and then drive about an hour to work (due to traffic) and then he'd pick me up after work. Last week wasn't too bad with waiting for him after I got done work because I HAD to make up my 8 hours that I missed on Monday . I worked 9.5 hours on Monday, 12 hours on Wednesday and 10.5 hours on both Thursday and Friday. And the ten and a half hours on Friday as opposed to the usual 4.5 hours was rough hah But this week I shouldn't have to make up any hours so I will be hanging around more after work but I will have my MP3 player and a newer Dean Koontz book so that's not too bad.
I am waiting to hear how much the car is going to cost me. I would say atleast $250 for the new tires, $60 for towing and who knows how much for labor. But they usually work as cheaply for me as they can. They know that they always get my business...and unfortunately it's been a lot since I got my car ready for this job. My mom said that she will do what she can to help. Once they tell me how much my car will cost I will let her know and see how much of it she can cover for now. If between what I'll have left to spend and what she can help with we will see if I can get the car back yet or wait until next weekend.
But either way Chad will be here atleast the next couple of days as we plan to hang out here on the 4th of July. Jenn will have to work but we can have some burgers and hotdogs and watch some kind of patriotic war movie or something. This should be the first paid holiday for Chad and I and that is AWESOME! Neither of us are used to even having off on Holidays let alone getting paid for them while not even working! So we will play some games, watch some movies and maybe enjoy some alcohol and then break out some traditionalish foods when Jenn gets home.
Well that's about it for now. Chad and I are going to do something for a bit and then I am going to head to bed.
I hope you all had a great weekend and those of you who celebrate the 4th of July with us have an awesome one! Enjoy!
