Well Easter went quite well!
We took the train to my mom's at 10:30am which even though it's 5 hours after I've been getting up the past two weeks and 6 hours after I'd had been waking up the two weeks before that, it still felt ungodly early for a Sunday. Especially Easter. But I wanted to spend as much time in Lansdale as I could but still keep it relaxing.
We stopped out stuff off at my mom's and then walked to the video store to see what they had. We wanted to get John Waters' "A Dirty Shame" for Rob to watch since he loves his stuff and I knew my mom would get some kicks out of it as well. But I wanted something Rob could enjoy because it was supposed to be our first day all together again since he'd gotten out of jail. Well there was Christmas but so much was packed into that day..this was to be the day to just relax and watch movies comfortably. Jenn and I had rented the movie but Blockbuster was the only video store around here that had it and they had only the "neuter" version. The video store had exactly what I'd hoped...an NC-17 version of the movie..for sale! We bought that and two other movies for their buy-two-get=one-free deal that I always love to take advantage of when I go there.
We get some flowers from the lot across the street from 7-Eleven where they sell them every year. They had some really pretty ones at a good price! We picked out some Mums and then got some drinks from the Sev and headed home. We had been waiting for Rob to call as he had to work but his boss said that he'd let him come home for a while since he had plans but then he'd have to go back to work.
We searched for the two dozen eggs that mom had hidden while we were out. We did pretty well except that the sun was making me overheat and my head hurt. We ended up finding all but 2 or 3. Hopefully my mom ends up remembering which ones we didn't find and where it was that she had hid them before they're there too long haha
Rob called and said that he'd be home around 4 but then I didn't think he'd have to go back to work afterall. We watched Harry Potter 4 which Jenn and I had started one night last week but I was fighting to stay awake through 3/4 of it and dozed off a few times. So we started it all over so that my mom could watch it from the beginning and I could actually SEE it period hehe It was quite good! Rob ended up coming home before that one had ended and they started working on the last touches to our dinner.
Since I didn't know that he had to go back to work we went through all of our California/Mexico/Disneyland pictures from our trip last year and then we exchanged baskets which was great. I think that they enjoyed/will enjoy what we'd gotten them! At that point I was told that Rob actually did have to go back to work and I didn't want to start A Dirty Shame when he'd have to leave so we put on A History of Violence which we bought from the video store as well. I had watched it alone one day at our theater when I went in to pick up my paycheck. Jenn had wanted to see it but didn't get to until Sunday. I think Jenn and my mom enjoyed it..I know that I enjoyed it again.
After the movie we packed our stuff up and headed out to the train to come home. We stopped and wrote down the numbers for two houses that are for rent on the same block between my mom's house and the train station for Jenn to call today for prices. We want to keep our eyes out and our options open for places to move just in case something went wrong with our Joe/Chad plans for a house. Which I hope doesn't happen of course. But when we're down to a month before we have to move out of here, we need a place to move hehe
Wee got home and decided to watch Monty Python on Jenn's DVD's since we'd finished the last Home Improvement season that's available on DVD.
Zooming ahead because I am suddenly too exhausted...
We are going to watch one more Monty Python tonight, Monday, and then I am passing to wake up at 5am for another day of work. Catch you later!
