Maybe Looking Up

Well today seems to have turned around pretty well..rather quickly. Thankfully!

I called my band's 1-800 number to check my balance and it was far lower than I had expected. I planned on getting my hair cut today and buying some cheaper hair dye to get my hair all ready for the show tomorrow night. Plus I just plain old need a haircut right now! But I didn't have what I thought to be enough to get me through until next Thursday night when I get paid again.

And although I had received the package from the company for the Home Depot job, I never got the call back yesterday that she told me I should get. And Chad hadn't heard from them either. And knowing how badly I need a source of higher income, you can imagine how that made me feel.

But:

Jenn is lending me money to get my haircut and maybe some cheap dye. If what she gave me isn't enough, I can still pay for it and just skip a meal one of the days this week or something or atleast just eat some ramen and buttered bread for a day or two. That'll do.

And then just a few minutes ago I received a call not from the one woman but from the manager that would be my boss at Home Depot and he asked if I can go in for an interview on Monday at 11am. I will get into what that will do to my Monday schedule in a moment or two. But it sounds like I've got a great shot! I asked if there were anything that I should bring in and he said my driver's license and Social Security card and generally those are needed only for copying after you've been hired so I believe that as long as I do not do something incredibly wrong when they interview me, I should walk out with the job. I should be working at that store only and the manager covers several stores and therefore I would see them roughly once every week or two which is always cool.

Now..I believe that I have to work at 4pm on Monday. I will have to wake up around 7am or so on Monday to catch an 8am train to L-Dale. Get there about 9am. That gives me two hours to ride my bike from my mom's to the store. This will give me an idea of how long the trip will be each day. Then after the interview I have to ride back to my mom's and then walk to the train station to catch a train back and then walk to work from the station here. And then it's a 4pm to sometime after midnight shift. But I am off on Tuesday and whatever it takes to get this job...should be worth it!

On top of all that...it's soooo beautiful out!

I am leaving shortly to get my haircut and maybe get some dye on he way back. Head in to work. Work 5-10pm. Come back for when Chad gets here. And we may have Chinese and watch some movies and Conan's trip to Finland special at 12:35am EST.

Tomorrow we will dye my hair if I get dye (since I have to wait approximately 24 hours after a shampooing). We will also make stickers and maybe some magnets if we can come up with a little extra money to purchase sheets of blank magnets which we can try to sell at the show. Chad and I may go to get our drug tests in the morning. We should be catching a train after 3pm to run through our set around 4pm and then leave around 5:30 to get our stuff to the venue for our early soundcheck.

Lots going on. Mostly all good at this point-in-time. Let's hope it continues! I will back to post very soon but it may not be until Sunday with news on how the show went and maybe some video. Have a great day!
