OH HELL YEAH!!

I am going to start writing now and just go until I have to get my shower and head out to work.

Well last night I finally got to see Sevendust! After so many years of wanting to I finally did it! I was scheduled to work so I gave up on going but then a coworker of mine was on AIM from her other job and I wasn't asking her but just mentioned how long I've wanted to see them. She said that she'd switch shifts with me so that I could leave work at 5pm and go to the show! Luckily they still had two ticket so Chad and I could go. I am glad because I didn't really want to go alone either.

The show was amazing. The opening band, One was so amazing, they really got the show off on the right foot I believe. I bought their CD last night but it was too late to get it autographed unfortunately.

I got to meet Sevendust! Been a dream for about 7 years or more now. So awesome. Got Chad and I some autographs since he had to leave to get to work because he had to work third shift. They left the record label that they had been with for 4 albums and they started their own label. They are looking for bands to put on their label but haven't added any yet. Their lead singer asked me what I do and I told him that "I have a shit job and I play guitar.". He asked me about my band and if I had a cd of our material with me. I said that we're going into the studio to record our demo very shortly but we have some lo-fi recordings on our site. I had a mini flier for our site and a business card with a picture of each of us that Jenn made us. He looked at it and said, "Shit this is awesome! You gotta let me have it!". And I told him that it was all his. I know that they definitely wouldn't sign us with the songs that are on our site because it was recorded so roughly, live, with mistakes throughout. And I am 98% certain that they wouldn't sign us anyway...we are way way different. But just the thought of one of my favorite bands (Chad's as well) listening to OUR music even if only for a few minutes...is astounding! Tomorrow I will try scanning and posting my autographed ticket. I just didn't have the time to do it today as I hadn't had much sleep at all this past week and it caught up with me on the way home from the concert and I slept as long as I could.

Amazing.

Damn. I wanted to elaborate on some things I'd said in the past few posts but I have to hit the shower and then get myself to work.
