Cellular One Must Die
February 01, 2003 | 9:41 A.M.

I apologize for my lack of updating lately. Well I am apologizing mainly to myself...but if you are someone who actually enjoys coming here and reading what I post, then I apologize to you too.

I have only a short time before we have to go to our semi-practice...meaning that we work mostly on writing songs and not necessarily practice playing the songs. This will have us more prepared for our Thursday studio practices. I just wanted to make mention of a thing or two before I leave.

I find it frightening that atleast half of my junk mail in my inbox actually has my first name printed in the subject. It's kinda like walking around a town that you have never visited before and you do not know a single soul there, yet almost everyone on the street and all the people in stores greet you by your name without you telling them who you are. It is kind of eerie. I think so anyway.

And now I am pissed off!

In Indiana, PA, I was looking for a cell phone service provider and I had several requirements that a company had to meet before I would sign a contract to pay for their service.

Since I was planning on moving back to my hometown area, or somewhere around Philly (to take my spot with Abigail's End), I needed a service that would allow me to switch to local coverage. If you go out of your calling area, you have to pay a ton more money for either extended area coverage or roaming charges...whichever they use to refer to it. And we are talking a whole lot more money and they usually charge money per phone call even if you are well under your minutes alloted per month such as I am.

The Cellular One representative in Indiana, PA told me that I could easily switch my local area after I move so that I wouldn't have to pay the extended area fees.

Well I checked for locations by using my zip code and the site tells me that there are no locations in my area. They listed all the stores in Pennsylvania and of course there aren't any near central PA and definitely none in the east.

So I used their customer support form to explain the fact that I was told that there would be no problem with changing to a local number after I moved which was essential when determining which company I would use.

Here's hoping some solution can be reached....

I have to get to practice now so I will talk to you later.

Have a good day!
